To Automate, or Not

Machines doing thing 🐌 slower might be better than us humans doing them ⚡ faster, sometimes.

As of this writing in 2026, LLM-based agents often generates unreliable response and requires manual verifications before committing them to actions.

## When machines are better

• Repetitive, mundane, boring tasks
• Scraping and crawling
• Where timing of action is of essence over quality of action, e.g. split second trading (not an advice or invitation to do so; do it at your own peril).

When humans are better

• You enjoy the process than the result (painting, art)
• Road not travelled - untested and unproven flows. You haven’t figured out the process of automation yet
• You can’t afford mistakes and believe that manual process would be more reliable than automated one
